Summary
As a Linux System On Chip (SOC) Engineer at LSI, you will propose, analyze, design, and implement linux drivers, distributions, and user code on SOCs to solve customer problems. The user code you will primarily implement will be in c++. You will work as a team with the rest of the engineers in LSI leveraging technology assets across LSI and our partners when prudent. The products and systems you will be implementing are in the communications, geolocation, PNT, EW, and SIGINT trade space. You will not only work with interdisciplinary teams including Business Development, Software, Systems, microwave circuits, and hardware engineers but you will also work with customers to realize the systems of tomorrow.
Requirements
• Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years communications or EW system experience
• US citizenship required
• Up to 25% domestic travel
Preferences
• Able to implement and understand large complex SOC processing systems and how to setup and interact with the SOC hardware subsystems
• Able to implement and understand the linux OS, drivers, and user code on intel SOCs
• Able to derive, design, and implement SOC processing systems from system level requirements
• Able to manage time well and take large tasks from start to finish with little oversight
• Able to be a team player and open minded
• Top Secret clearance with SSBI/SCI
